Scribblenauts X Final Fantasy VI

This final fantasy VI set is probably my favorite set of the bunch cuz it's one of my favorites games of all time. This game inspired me ALOT and had everything to do with me getting into concept art for videogames in the first place.
Drawing this set brought back alot of memories, haha :) might even consider playing the game again!

Scribblenauts Nintendo World Store Launch

Just wanted to share some photos from the Scribblenauts Launch at the Nintendo World Store in New York that took place today at the Rockefeller Center. INSANE turnout. Thanks to everyone that made it out there today. I'm guessing there had to be no less than 150 people that showed up in the 3 hours that we were there. Finally got to meet some of the Neogaf fans in the flesh! It was my first time being part of a launch for anything... so it's extra special that it's a launch for our game! and it's definitely a memorable one! hope there will be more of these to look forward to!!! I LOVE New York City!

My 221a studio setup

so here's what my painting/screen printing studio looks like... not much of a paint studio because I share the painting wall with Jonathan which is on the other side of the cubicle (left of camera). Originally my station was suppose to be more of a silkscreening setup but I haven't had time to work on any prints as of yet... hopefully soon. here's a break down:

1. Desk
2. My mundane series prints
3. My silk screen exposing station/work table
4. Silkscreen Inks/cleaners and canvas frames
5. Jonathan's painting station
6. Jonathan's skateboard
7. My box of brushes and misc junk
8. My backpack and oil/acrylics paint toolbox
9. Brian and Michelle's Industrial design cubicle
10. awesome studio brick wall.

still life painting

My attempt at still life before I start my series of paintings. This was about 9-10 hours. the WIP shot in the upper image is about 6hrs in. It's been a while since i worked with oils and I'm totally lovin' it. ditching my acylics for now :)

scribblenauts

technically not official art but more like fanpost-inspired art ... for the latest game i've been working on: Scribblenauts.
this piece was made based off an AWESOME post by some guy who played a test version of the game...

I had played all the big titles at E3. Private showings of God of War III, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake. But at 4:00 on Thursday, I was wandering around the show floor, wondering what else I had to see. I saw a small little booth for "Scribblenauts!" in the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment section. I mean, who goes to that booth? But I remember hearing about it on GAF, and so I decided to check it out.

Best game of E3? Without a fucking doubt. Anyone who says otherwise did not play Scribblenauts. Best game of all time? Jesus Christ, I don't know, maybe. It's a game that challenges your IMAGINATION. No other game has ever done that.

So listen to this story. I was in the early levels; I didn't quite have an idea of how ridiculously in-depth the database was. I was summoning things like ladders, glasses of water, rayguns, what have you. But I reached a level with zombie robots, and the zombie robots kept killing me. Rayguns didn't work, a torch didn't work, a pickaxe didn't work. In my frustration, I wrote in "Time Machine". And one popped up. What the fuck? A smile dawned on my face. I hopped in, and the option was given to me to either travel to the past or the future. I chose past. When I hopped out, there were fucking dinosaurs walking around. I clicked one, and realized I could RIDE THEM. So I hopped on a fucking DINOSAUR, traveled back to the present, and stomped the shit out of robot zombies. Did you just read that sentence? Did you really? I FUCKING TRAVELED THROUGH TIME AND JUMPED ON A DINOSAUR AND USED IT TO KILL MOTHERFUCKING ROBOT ZOMBIES. This game is unbelievable. Impossible. There's nothing you can't do.

Holy fucking shit.
