Sketchcrawl #25
The 25th World Wide Sketchcrawl 5th Anniversary! took place on Granville Island. Started off at the Netloft... moved to the Public Market... and ended at Emily Carr University. It was raining the whole time, so we stayed indoors, but it was really nice drawing at the public market. There were musicians, musicians, children, grocers, vendors, tourists, students, and artists busying about the lunch hour. some even danced to the music, which was interesting to watch. Not the best weather to be doing a crawl but we made the best of it. looking forward to the next one.

sketchbook dump
I did some sketches today at the Sketchgroup... a mish mash of different styles, or as Jimmy would call it "stylistically schizophrenic". I just felt like drawing whatever came to mind. The theme was Prosthesis... so i did one based on that.. but the rest just didn't really fall into any specific 'theme'. I was sort of in this Final Fantasy mode after going to "Music of Final Fantasy: Distant World on thurs... that's why there is a Terra fanart there.. which I thought looked half decent. might take that one further later or do more of the other characters. The music was performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.. although not as 'punchy' and as the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra that performed it in 20020220... it still managed to give me goosebumps towards the end when they played the FFVI music. Wish they had more of these shows.
The drawing of Joji's headphones I thought was kinda cool... did that while I was at 221. Apparently there was yet another flooding incident that took place. It's unfortunate because the drywall-ceiling was put up not too long ago. Not even completely spackled, primed or painted. I think parts of it will have come down, otherwise mold might start to buildup. Sigh...

Scribblenauts X Final Fantasy VI
This final fantasy VI set is probably my favorite set of the bunch cuz it's one of my favorites games of all time. This game inspired me ALOT and had everything to do with me getting into concept art for videogames in the first place.
Drawing this set brought back alot of memories, haha :) might even consider playing the game again!

Scribblenauts Nintendo World Store Launch
Just wanted to share some photos from the Scribblenauts Launch at the Nintendo World Store in New York that took place today at the Rockefeller Center. INSANE turnout. Thanks to everyone that made it out there today. I'm guessing there had to be no less than 150 people that showed up in the 3 hours that we were there. Finally got to meet some of the Neogaf fans in the flesh! It was my first time being part of a launch for anything... so it's extra special that it's a launch for our game! and it's definitely a memorable one! hope there will be more of these to look forward to!!! I LOVE New York City!
